This craft is available as:
A standard version for Axi 2217/20 series engines with Graupner 10 x 5 or 11 x 5 Electro propellers or as Heavy Lift version for Axi 2814/22 series engines and APC
12x 3.8 or 13 x 6.5 propellers
Our ADX-4 Standard, Heavy Lift, Heavy Lift Extended and 360 airframes come complete for self-assembly and are ready for fitting MikroKopter UAV electronics directly
and comes with a Universal Flight Control adaptor for fitting
Hoverfly Pro and Sport boards, UAVP-NG, Openpilot and Arducopter avionics.
The ADX-4 is a counter coaxial configuration with 8 brushless motors. The flight characteristics of the 4/8 are quite unique and perform differently to the single horizontal
lift plane of the standard AD-8 configuration and some prefer this for its higher tolerance to turbulent air and conditions, its compact size and fast pack down for
transportation.
As in all the Droidworx range, this airframe is made from high quality, lightweight, UV resistant, vibration absorbing composite components;- Carbon Fiber 3k twill tube chosen for it strength, light weight and natural vibration absorption properties – carbon fiber center section - industrial grade graphite and fibre reinforced engineering composite engine mounts and boom fixing components, aircraft grade anodized alloy fixings, quick release vacuum molded Poly carbonate protective dome cover and carbon fiber undercarriage assembly with vibration isolators and adjustable battery tray.
The landing gear/gear rail assembly allows for fitting different camera mounts for various cameras and applications. See "Camera" on the front page of this site.
An optional Flight Control crash cage is available as a replacement for the dome cover.
The ADX-4 comes complete as a kit (airframe only). Ready To Fly packages may be available from one of many certified UAV electronics specialists around the Globe. See "Distributors" on the front page of this site.
