Removing the excess shafts is best done by an engineering machinist - using a lathe on low speed as shown here. Do not use high speed cutting tools like grinding wheels or
gas cutting equipment. It is recomended to use engines which are already "multi-rotor" ready such as the Axi motors, Robbe Roxy, MK3638 or Orbit seriers from Plattenberg.

Note; This is a factory Multi-Rotor engine from Axi ...the shaft has been only 2mm from the base of the motor. If
you plan to use any engine other than the Axi's specified in the setup page, Robbe Roxy, MK3638, or Orbit
series from Plattenberg, then you must remove the excess shaft. This is not a recommended practice, but if you
must then follow the instructions above and have a local machine shop pair the shaft off in a Lathe...at low
speed...making sure you have wrapped the engine well with tape to enusre that no metal filings get into the
magnet cluster.
